Getting a correctly fitting bra when you’re full busted can seem quite complicated, so please refer to our size guides and tips below. Wearing a good fitting bra not only improves your posture and figure but the support will make you feel so much more comfortable. Different bra shapes do suit different busts, but by following the points below you can identify if the bra actually ‘fits’ you.
FIT TIPS
- Fasten your new bra on the loosest hook. The underband of the bra should be firm enough around your body to grip to your rib cage and not slip or move when you are active. If the underband does not feel firm and rises up at the back then the band size is too big and you should try a smaller band size.
- The front and back of the bra should sit at the same level around your body, and the back should not be pulled up higher by shortening the straps.
- Once you are happy with the underband firmness, look at the bra wires. The wires should be touching the rib cage at the centre front around the bust and at the underarm, the wire should not lean onto breast tissue. If the wires are digging into your breast tissue at the underarm then the cups are too small and you should try a larger cup size.
- Look at the bra cups. If your breasts are bulging over the top of the cups then it’s too small and you should try a larger cup size. If you have too much loose fabric in the cups it’s a sign that the cup size is too big and you should try a smaller cup size.
